Benjamin Whitcomb’s Independent Corps of Rangers is a non-profit corporation established in 1975 to re-create the life style of the Rangers in the War of Independence, 1776-1781.

Whitcomb’s Rangers is a group of volunteers whose members have a wide variety of interests, and who research and re-create an American unit which fought during the Revolutionary War in New York and New England.

As members of Whitcomb’s Rangers, we pride ourselves on our authentic portrayal of an actual Continental Army Ranger unit during the American Revolution. Although the attire and equipment (or lack thereof) as well as the mission of a Ranger may differ from that of a typical Continental soldier, we nevertheless represent a Continental military fighting force and are respected throughout the reenactment hobby for our authenticity, as well as for our scouting and skirmishing ability, and our light infantry skills.
